Kosovo Heritage Guide is operated by Interstellar LLC (“Interstellar,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). The app helps users discover architectural landmarks, cultural heritage, cities, and events in Kosovo.
2. Information the App Accesses
Photos and Camera
With your permission, the app may access your device camera or photo library so that you can capture or select an image of a landmark. Access is initiated only when you choose to use the relevant feature.
Images Submitted for Landmark Recognition
When you request landmark recognition, the selected image is transmitted securely to our application server for automated analysis. The image is used only to provide the requested recognition result.
Technical Communications
Like most online services, basic technical information may be exchanged automatically when the app communicates with our server, such as the request time, network connection information, and standard server security data. We do not use this information to build advertising profiles or track users across apps or websites.
3. How We Use Information
Information accessed through the app is used only to:
- allow you to capture or select a landmark photograph;
- analyze the submitted image and return a recognition result;
- display heritage, historical, location, city, and event information;
- maintain the security, reliability, and proper operation of the service; and
- respond to support or privacy inquiries that you send to us.
4. Information We Do Not Collect for Commercial Purposes
Kosovo Heritage Guide does not:
- require or create user accounts;
- sell personal information;
- display third-party advertisements;
- use personal information for targeted advertising;
- track users across other companies’ apps or websites;
- use third-party advertising analytics; or
- retain photographs submitted for landmark recognition.
5. Sharing of Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information. Submitted images are processed through the infrastructure used to operate the app and are not shared for advertising or unrelated commercial purposes.
We may disclose information only when reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, a valid legal request, protect users or the public, or defend the rights and security of Interstellar LLC and the service.
6. External Websites, Maps, and Event Links
The app may contain links to event organizers, official websites, maps, ticket pages, social media pages, or other external services. When you open an external service, its own privacy policy and terms apply. Interstellar LLC does not control how those independent services handle information.
7. Device Permissions and Your Choices
Camera and photo-library permissions are optional and are requested only when needed for a feature you choose to use. You may deny or later revoke these permissions through your device settings. Some recognition features will not function without access to a photograph.
You can use the informational portions of the app without submitting an image, subject to the features available in the current version.
8. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards designed to protect information during transmission and processing. However, no internet transmission or electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Children’s Privacy
The app is a general cultural and educational service and is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us so that we can review the matter.
10. International Processing
Information submitted for recognition may be processed on servers located outside your country. By using the recognition feature, you understand that the selected image must be transmitted to the service infrastructure for processing, subject to the safeguards described in this policy.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights relating to personal information, including rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or information about processing. Because the app does not require an account and does not permanently retain submitted images, we may have limited information with which to identify a request.
